The plant's ownership has evolved through its operational lifecycle. Initially, it was owned by the private power producer Uni-Mar Co., a joint venture between the Japanese firm Marubeni and the Belgian company Unit International. During this period, the facility was operated by Engie.

Following the expiration of the BOT contract in 2019, ownership was officially transferred to the state-owned electricity generation company, EÜAŞ. Upon this transfer, the facility was renamed the Tekirdağ Doğalgaz Kombine Çevrim Santralı.
