Cameroon Election Results and Legal Challenges
The announcement of election results in Cameroon triggered a wave of legal disputes and calls for transparency. Following the initial tally, a total of 103 appeals were filed with the Supreme Court by various political entities. While some parties sought neutral recounts, the majority requested the complete annulment of results in specific districts.
The National Union for Democracy and Progress (UNDP) led the legal challenges with 33 appeals, followed closely by the Social Democratic Front (SDF) with 30. The Union of the Peoples of Cameroon (UPC) and the Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (RDPC) filed six and four appeals, respectively. Fru Ndi, representing the SDF, argued that the entire election process should be annulled due to fraud, asserting that a free and transparent process would have granted the SDF a majority in both municipal and parliamentary contests.

Parliamentary Election Outcomes
On 10 August, the Supreme Court announced the final results. The RDPC emerged as the dominant force with 140 seats. The SDF followed with 14 seats, while the UNDP and the Cameroon Democratic Union (UDC) each secured four seats. The Progressive Movement earned one seat. Notably, the Court annulled elections in five districts, leaving 17 seats vacant pending new elections.
Partial Re-run and Final Tally
Re-elections for the five cancelled districts—Wouri-East, Mayo-Tsanaga-North, Nyong and Kellé, Mungo South, and Haut-Nkam—took place on 30 September, following a campaign period that began on 15 September.
Provisional results for these 17 seats saw the RDPC winning 13, with the SDF and UNDP each winning two. The RDPC swept all available seats in Haut-Nkam, Moungo-South, and Nyong-and-Kellé. In Wouri-East, the SDF and RDPC split the four available seats equally, while in Mayo-Tsanaga-North, the RDPC and UNDP each took two seats.
The SDF disputed these partial results, with Fru Ndi claiming the party actually won six seats, including a majority of over 52% in Wouri-East. However, on 15 October, the Supreme Court confirmed the final results after rejecting several appeals. This brought the final parliamentary totals to 153 seats for the RDPC, 16 for the SDF, and 6 for the UNDP.
